Hi all.

I am just curious, what parts of the area (San Antonio and surrounding) that have the lowest school taxes?

Without doing a lot of research, I can tell you that the Alamo Heights School District traditionally has the lowest tax rate in Bexar County, and probably the surrounding area as well. Of course, median property values in that prestigious district are significantly higher than most surrounding districts, so you will likely pay more school tax in the Alamo Heights district than the others.

Bottom line is that it's a difficult question to answer. The less desirable school districts tend to have the highest tax rates, but lower property values. It's the opposite for the more desirable districts.

I believe people classified as "agriculture" also pay lower taxes.
