Welcome, Joey here, well... I'll tell you of course, its not cali. but its very family orientated its known as military city USA their are plenty of golf courses here their are 2 safari parks, central zoo, seaworld, six flags, and recently disney has just purchased some land (300 acres) is what I just heard to be at the county court, and not to mention the largest water park in the US (according to the travel channel) north of san antonio (schliterbahn) new braunfels and best of all no state tax also two nice sized lake canyon and medina lakes for your R & R and camping pleasure. I don't know what you are looking for in a city but I pretty much pointed out the things I liked. hoped I helped in any way OH..... and thats another thing the people here are very hospitable plus Its fun watching the Spurs win alot.................

GO SPURS GO!!!!

I moved from Southern California in 1995, to Dallas. A few years after I was there, my father passed away in Ohio, leaving my mother there alone and already very sick herself. I moved back there to be near her and after she passed away I came back to Texas...

EXCEPT.....

when I called my aunt in San Antonio to tell her I was moving back to TX, she asked if I needed a place to stay.... I tho't, why not? I can store my stuff in Dallas, and enjoy relatives, and run up to Dallas when interviews come up, maybe even try to bunch some of them together......

WELLLLLL.... I stopped to drop off my stuff in Dallas and it had grown about 10NANO times the size when I'd left.... stored my belongings, came down here to stay....
within less than a week, I was convinced I was going to stay in San Antonio, and not return to Dallas...... I feel like I'm living in So Cal WITHOUT all the crazy problems that made me leave in 1995...... (except I lived in Long Beach and I DO miss the beach and the shipping port and the piers, and.... ad infinitum, BUT!!!) I'm still much better off here...

Having said all this..... (violins please).... I STILL have not found permanent full time employment...... I"ve been here almost a year.....
but I'm older, if you're still young you won't have the same problems I have....
Plus my field is limited......
so there you go.....
WHAT PART OF SO CAL ARE YOU COMING FROM????
