Question Moving there in 50 days--YAH

Now about housing. We are looking for a few acres 3 or more. No children. It can be a home that needs updating. We don't really want to get much over 200,000. We want a horse or two. He will be working out of Fort Sam Houston and he will be traveling with his job so I want a safe area. We have looked at Sequin, Marion, NB, but wonder what you locals think about these areas. Do you have to worry about "settling foundations", flooding, and city codes regarding horses? Also, I love the internet and hope that we have an area were you don't have to rely on "dial up". He would not like to travel much more than 30 miles to work. Any other areas you can think of or recommend. Ohhhh and we are going to dine at Boudro's first thing when we come house hunting---sounds yummy!!!!
