Spurs make trade.
Source: Spurs acquire Jefferson for 3 players - ESPN
Seems like a pretty good trade for the Spurs
Spurs give up Bruce Bowen, Fabricio Oberto, and Kurt Thomas.
They receive Richard Jefferson from Milwaukee

Giving up Bowen won't be popular, but the Spurs needed to get younger.
Sounds like the Bucks plan to release Bowen and Oberto, so either or both may end up back with the Spurs.

Losing Bowen was a mistake. Arguably the best defender in the league. Hopefully he will come back to the Spurs after the trade. Oberto was good as well - not sure why he didn't get more playing time. But we do need to get younger so I could see how that made sense.

It is going to be so different w/o Bruce!
I do understand they need to get younger. But they needed to get rid of some people who could not preform durring the finals, don't you think?

I would be shocked if Bowen wasn't cut by the Bucks and resigned by the Spurs. He'll be back a' la Brent Barry.

This is an excellent move by the SAS. Jefferson gives Popovich numerous new wrinkles to throw at opposing teams and will compliment the Big Three perfectly. So they will collectively be known as the Big Four from now on.
Great job Peter Holt for signing off on this magnificent deal!!!

GREAT TRADE!!! Bowen will be back too. They won't pick up his option. They're also probably angling for another big man, so watch for more to come!
