Default Info please, SFH rental Summit Wood

Hi, I am moving to SA in August. I am looking to rent a SFH and saw a new rental with address 5014 summit wood 78299. I have done a search in this forum and found not much info. I have found SA CD forumers are really helpful with these types of questions. Could anyone please provide me with any info on this place. Is this area safe? about traffice? I am looking to rent a home either near HEB, Wal-mart area on De Zavala Rd or near Wildhorse division because I know people in these 2 areas but is open to any other suggestions. My budget is about $1000-$1100 for at least a 2 bedrooms 2 bath SFH. Thanks so much!

Why the need to live near people you know? You're going to let them determine where you live? Blaze your own trail. Plenty of folks to help you along here.

78299 is nowhere near Wildhorse anyway.

Well, neither of those areas are particularly bad areas, at least. Unless you're one of the suburb haters aplenty on here. Cheap, mindless housing and amenities, just like we like it.

Not that I want to let them determine where I live, but I have been to those areas, and seems to like them. Also, since I will be new to SA, knowing somebody closeby to visit will be nice.
But like i said before, I am open to suggestions, since i know nothing of the area. I also, hope that by budget and wants are also realistic. I know that the folks here are very helpful, so that is why i ask here

Thank you for the reply. Do you know anything about Summit Wood? I actually prefer the suburb area instead of near downtown, but not a major factor in the decision.

Is that the new area near Summit Pkwy? I've seen it, don't know anyone who lives there. It's very basic-looking, sort of bland really, but I'm sure it serves its purpose. Shopping is convenient, actually walkable. It's close to the Medical Ctr. Evers Road in that area is a bit sketchy, IMO, but the homes you are looking at seem to be in a quiet area adjacent to a quiet neighborhood. 410 is very close, and I-10 is not too far, either.

Thanks you so much. I will contact the real estate agent for this home and make an appointment to see it.
