Dining Near Pearl Brewery
Timbo's or Josephine Street?
A little more info: Family visiting from out of town. We'll likely park around Pearl or somewhere nearby to see the bats and the fish around 8:30, so it'll be dinner around 6pm-ish. There's around 8 of us (all adults). It'll be a Mon or Tues evening.
Which would be best for food, value, and ability to visit (no loud music, etc) over a casual dinner?
Thanks!!

Great replies, thanks!
I'm a little concerned about Sam's (noisy?) and Liberty Bar ($$)- shoulda mentioned most of this crowd is over 50 and of tight budget.
Does this new info change your rec?

BOTH Josephine Street and Liberty Bar are absolutely appropriate for the 50+ set. I LOVE them both! Liberty Bar is just a little..... "nicer", if you can imagine that from a dilapidated building and a floor that slopes! LOL!!! Both have their menus on their websites, but Josephine Street is a bit more "budget friendly". And their steaks get some pretty danged good reviews for how inexpensive they are!
Have fun!!!

There is also Good Time Charley's at the corner of Broadway and Mulberry. Good for a large crowd and good home cookin without the high dollar. the other is Earl Abel's on austion hiway. Much better for the older crowd with home cookin and nice prices. Not that far from the bats and fish.

My vote is for Good Time Charlie's. Great Chicken Fried steaks.
I did the walk last week, the bats ususally come out at 8:45.
