I need a GOOD pediatric gastroenterologist for my 11-month-old. We're going to the peds. in two weeks and I want a few names to throw out there to get their recommendations. We're in NE SA.

All the searches I did on here were either really old or only for adults! THANKS!!

Why should that matter? The fact that the doctor is a few years older should be a good thing..more experience.

What I MEANT was the posts were old...several years. I don't care what age the doctors are. Just want current practicing ones.

Exactly...the posts are a year or two old...so the doctors are a year or two older as well. So, you're saying that they (the doctors) are no longer in business?

*Sigh* Really wasn't meaning anything by it. I saw one pediatric name on there that got mixed reviews. Looking for others and anything new.

Not exactly sure why this thread is offending you enough to waste your time questioning me...

My point is:

Older recommendations are not necessarily bad ones...and newer recommendations are not necessarily good ones. That's all...not offended. I have plenty of time to waste.

I probably replied in the earlier thread. My daughter saw 3 different Pediatric GIs from 1994-2003. Dr. Ben Elizondo was the one who was finally able to get her acid reflux under control. I highly recommend him.

The other two may not be in practice anymore. She saw Dr. Neil Tucker first and I would not recommend him. He kept saying that she had failure to thrive and wanted to put her on a feeding tube, which would have been so traumatizing and was completely unnecessary. She is 15 years old now and she is petite, but she is perfectly fine. She has always thrived!

The other one was Dr. Deborah Neigut. We had a good experience with her and I would recommend her. We stopped going to her when she stopped seeing patients regularly because she was focusing on teaching.
