Good vet near Alamo Heights area (Kirby, Olmos Park: professionals, yard, office)

I just relocated to the city and I have a dog and cat. Both have had some health issues and I need a reference for a really good vet near/around the Alamo Heights area. My dog has knee surgery last year, and might need some follow-up work, so I need a vet who has lots of experience with these kinds of things.

Does anyone have any recommendations of vets that they have had good experiences with?

Also- any recommendations for good kennels in town? This is really important for me in regards to the dog because I do travel occasionally and I need a place where they will take care to walk her on a leash (rather than let her out in a yard with other dogs- she loves playing with other dogs- the problem is that she could get hurt again) and keep an eye on that bad knee.

Sunset ridge has a vet office that has a good reputation. It's at north new braunfels and brees. As far as a kennel we use rob carrey pet resort they are wonderful much so our border collie would
get excited when he realized where he was going.

There's a vet right on Broadway before Basse. It's a fantastic facility that I recommend to anyone. A friend had to have his dog put down and it was very emotional for him, but they handled the situation with the utmost respect and even sent him a card in the mail afterward.

I forgot the name but I'm sure you can look it up.
