Well the Hostess said it would be an hour and 45 minutes wait but she did remind us they have a bar for our "Drinking Enjoment". The only problem is ... We don't "Enjoy Drinking"

No fault of their's for the long wait though. So we decided to go somewhere where we knew we would have Good Service, Good Food, Plenty of it, and it was on the way home which is in The Villages of Westcreek. Well we endend up at our own standby which has always been for lunch. "The Happy Guy" on Culebra inside Loop 1604 a few miles. Although I have heard here that most people don't care for it the food is always good and we have never become sick after a visit there. It's not fancey but I have found in all my 49 years that some of the best eateries are the same way- Not Fancey.

I guess I'm Old Fashioned in the way that I love to support small Mom and Pop owned Business verses the Chain places. If something is not right it is made right sine they need and want your Business. The big Chain places could care less if you never came back since that is not going to hurt them one Dollar.
Had lunch there today based on your recommendation...EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE AND PRICE!!! We are blown away by the quality of the beef/chicken used in the dishes (no fat/grissle) and VERY happy with the place...will DEFINITELY be back. Service, cleanliness, food were all wonderful! Thanks for the heads up!!!

Just saw this thread with no posts since 2010 until todays post. Glad the thread bumped up.

Must say, if you like sichuan Chinese there is no other than Sichuan Cuisine. Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant San Antonio ?????

Just discovered it about 3 months ago but has been open for at least a couple of years. It's on NW Military north of Castle Hills. If you like it hot, they have the best Ma Po Tofu I've ever had and have tried other great dishes.

I'll review it next time I go.

That place is a close to authentic as I can ever find in San Antonio, and I lived in China for 10 years. Though some nights they put too much sauce in there. Really Austin and Houston is where I have to go for the real thing or close to it.

Thanks for your input zhugeliang1. I've never been to China but the reviews were very good.

Any recommendations in Austin or Houston would be appreciated.
