Default SA's extremely hot sunlight

I had noticed that when you stand in the sun, if feels like if you are getting cook.
Today the around 7:00pm, most of my backyard was already shaded as I was working on the yard.
when suddenly I felt hot on my side and I noticed that it was the sunlight reflecting on the window of my neighbor's house that was about 50-70ft away from me.

I was absolutely amazed about how hot the sunlight felt even as I was standing in the shade and I was feeling only the reflected sunlight.

Welcome to Texas. It's hot here. From about February 3rd until December 17th. Very hot about half that time. Extremely hot about 2 months of that time. It's how we roll.

I think Sapphire has the dates wrong. It's not that bad. March 1 to about November 30 is more realistic. It's hot those months and the sun is way too intense. The other months it's just hot, but you need a sweater for those days it's in the 70's. I thought it was strange to have to buy a Christmas tree in a tent. Then I felt the heat and realized that a cut tree in the sun will wilt and be a twig by December 15.

My response was a little more intelligent than stating that it's hot in the sun. At least acknowledge that.

Since you are so smart...
why don't you go ahead and explain why most of the time when the sunlight is reflected is not hot
but today I was standing in the shade and as soon as I walked in front of the reflected sunlight from my neighbor's window (50ft away) it felt hot, very similar to the change in temperature when you open an oven.

IF you ever have been through a south Texas summer you'd know why and my first response was on par with your question...
