Our A/C isn't cooling the house properly. Luckily I have a home warranty.

At any rate it's getting pretty warm and wanted to see if anyone had any advice on renting a portable a/c to keep one room cool in case I can't get someone out immediately.

Looks like Lowe's rents them...but it may be cheaper to get a room! Wow, they're pricey to rent. You can buy one for about $400.

No!!! Buy yourself a room A/C 8,000 BTU to 12,000BTU depending on room size!! Keep it for next time your A/C isn't cutting the mustard!! Emergency back up!! A 12,000 BTU A/C big enough for any bedroom is around $200.00 Bucks these days!! Dirt cheap!!!

I'll keep those suggestions in mind.

Called the home warranty folks, someone came out today and fixed it.
