Sorry, I meant Guenther House, not Pioneer.

First, go for Magnolia. That one is rated #1 by San Antonions in a recent poll.
Then, you could try #2 which is Jim's located on 1604/Bandera. Lots of the Helotes area locals eat there and I love it.

Are you talking about Jims, like the chain that is all over SA? Is this one really any different? I find the food at Jims in general just ok, its hard to believe in all of SA there is only 1 true pancake house.

The Guther house is a great place to go for pancakes. There is a wait but so worth it. Earl Ables on Austin hwy is a good place to go also.

Just the Jim's in Helotes. For some reason it's different and the waitresses are awesome. Nice people, nice locals and things just taste different there. It's sort of like LUBY's, some are better than others.

mmmmmmmmmm....pancakes!! checked out Magnolia Haus' website, and now I can't wait to try it!! Are they very busy on weekday mornings, anybody know????

Another recommendation - Green! They have great sweet potato pancakes, and their blueberry pancakes are fabulous! (I know, I know, "enough about Green, jules!" )

We went to Magnolia's this weekend. Oh my...SOOOOOOO TASTY!!!! There were 5 of us and we all had something different. Everything was so good. We had to wait a mere 5 minutes to get a table and had the absolute nicest guy as our waiter. We will definitly be eating some more pancakes there!!!!!
