Anyone like their pancakes? It always ranks #1 and i love them, but I also love the pancakes at Jim's off 1604/Bandera.

The pancakes are always worth the wait at Magnolia! They are really good. They're not too bad at Jim's, either.

Default Magnolia's Pancake Haus

Would you please tell me where this is! It sounds like a must! Thanks!

606 Embassy Oaks, SA TX. Off West Ave near where it intersects with Bitters Rd. There are 2 Mexican restaurants in the front of the little square, then Magnolia Pancake Haus is right behind them. Be prepared for a wait, every time I have been there, there is at least a 30 minute wait. But like I said, it's worth it!

Did you know they just moved to a new location a half block down? They now have a bigger place and I have never needed to wait.

For first timers, get this:

Pecan Pancakes
Sausage Patties
Coffee.

Those are probably the highlights for me.

No, I didn't! We moved from that area last fall and haven't been over there in a few months. A girl at work just mentioned that they closed, come to think of it, and I was so surprised because they are so good, and so busy! I'll have to let her know, too!

Is there any other good pancake houses in SA? We have not tried Magnolia yet, does anyone know of a good time to go when the wait isn't too long?

Pioneer is supposed to be really good, but I hear the wait is even longer than Magnolia! Sounds like the new location for Magnolia doesn't have a wait anymore, which is good news! Believe it or not, my husband orders pancakes at Las Palapas and he loves them.
