According to GoogleMaps...

NVA to UTSA - 11 miles/19 minutes driving during normal conditions (i.e. not rush hour)

SAC to UTSA - 16.5 miles/19 minutes as well ()

Length of time by car varies by time of day. Length of time by bus is inhumane and cruel. Check VIA Metropolitan Transit's website for those routes by bus. And good luck with that.

Don't forget there are two UTSA campuses. The downtown campus is just 1-2 miles from the SAC campus. It's definitely walkable.

I wouldn't recommend walking it unless you were crazy. SAC is on San Pedro and UTSA downtown is on Frio off of 10. Google Maps says it's a 40 minute walk. It's probably a quick 5-10 minute drive in traffic, but not a nice walk.

I was just going to ask which campus too. I wouldn't walk it even it were close. Bowie..are you sure on the 1-2 miles? Maybe as the crow flies....but not to walk. Downtown is on I-35 and Durango....SAC is at Dewey and San Pedro. The biggie problem is finding a way to get to the other side of I-35/I-10. If I wanted to walk it safely, I'd walk San Pedro to N Main and then all the way down to Durango and hang a right under the freeway.

A bike could handle it easily though....and the bus may not be so bad if it were both downtown campuses.

I didn't check on a map site, so you're probably right. I guess I've been to each campus a few times, but haven't ever traveled between them.

to get to NVC you can take the #64 Express bus I've taken it before. However, you MUST catch it on Market Street. it goes from west to east on Market and on the freeway on Highway 90 to Seaworld and NVC.

Yes, the walk is a bit too far from UTSA downtown to SAC. You can take the #20 bus GOING WEST BOUND near UTSA and guess what??? IT TURNS IN TO #4!! #4 drops you right off in front of SAC!!

As a matter of fact, I just did that exact thing today!! I caught the #20 going west bound by the University Health Center on Leona...it turned into #4 downtown...and I got off at the HEB on Olmos and San Pedro. So there you go
