Not to mention they feed them to snakes. Small puppies as well. Our society has some shady and disturbing people in it.

CL isnt all that bad as long as you ask for a rehoming fee. There are generally good people out there. Make sure they have the supplies for the kitten and other items available for you to see before letting him go. Ive rehomed a few dogs on CL and ive stayed in contact with those people to make sure the dogs are well. Most are nice enough to send photos and updates.

oh and you could always try meeting them at a vets office to ensure they plan to tag and obtain shots for the animal... Make it a point in your post that if you can afford tags or shots then obviously you cant afford the animal.
