My mother-in-law loves old, historic churches. Anything like that in to see while visiting SA?

Of the missions, I think San Jose is the only church where Mass is still held.

There are also several old protestant churches downtown including Madison Square Presbyterian, Central Christian Church, etc. Just drive around the central corridor, in the downtown area.

St. Mark's Episcopal (downtown) is another that comes to mind.

Oh, I don't know if the OP is looking for active churches. Just thought I'd throw that in.

St Joseph's Downtown. It was the "German" church in downtown, built in the late 1800s in a neo-Gothic style (I think, but you architectural gurus can correct me on that one). Out of town visitors will get a kick out of the fact that the mall (Joske's originally) is built around the church. If you can take them to 11:00 Mass on a fourth Sunday, the San Antonio Liederkranz sings a High Latin Mass, often with German church music. The Liederkranz has been the church choir in St. Joseph's since the 1890s, and the music can be pretty breathtaking.
