I just went to the link and read the story. The same thing happened last week to a military family who just moved here. I don't believe anything has been recovered yet for them. I just heard on woai that this latest family's SUV was found but not the uhaul.

According to the KENS 5 6:00 news, this is the fourth incident in a couple weeks in a one block area. The parasites need to get jobs or get lost and hopefully the cops are noticing a pattern in this area..

Sucks. But while traveling by car we ALWAYS park so that we can see our car (and luggage that is in it...) when stopping to get a bite to eat. Choose our seats by a window or door.

Take turns running into a gas station for restroom breaks too.

Can't be too careful.

That was exactly what I was thinking when I heard about this second incident on the news. Another poster stated that this makes the 4th incident?!!! What is Mr. McManus and his PD doing to prevent the targeting of these poor people?? It appears that it keeps happening on the same side of the city, too! Yes, I don't know all of the facts about what the family did to protect or not protect their belongings (i.e. were the vehicles locked, etc.) Truth is, I RARELY see any police in my travels around the city! I don't see them looking for speeders on the highways either! I fully support our law enforcement and don't mean to be critical, but where are they and what are they doing???

I'm going to have to agree with FCF. The largest concentration of cops I've seen in the past couple months was at Shipley's on Wurzbach. There were four motorcycles and two patrol cars parked outside. I was going to take a picture with my cell phone, but figured it wasn't worth the risk of them following me home...
