Default San Antonio (Riverwalk Mainly) on Christmas

Hey guys, just thought I would pose the question for all you dudes and gals from San Antonio. What is there to do on the Riverwalk during Christmas time? I am going to be with my Father and my brother (20) and I am 23 years old...or will be in December.

So far I have The Guenther House for Breakfast and/or Lunch
El Mercado
La Villita
Rio San Antonio Cruises

Anything else you guys can think of would be amazing. Also what do you think about the hotels on the Riverwalk because I know my brother and dad would love to stay on the riverwalk but probably arent going to want to pay 150 a night for the room. Do you guys know of any that arent as expensive?

Thanks so much!

At night they do a lot of stuff, the trees are all lit up with Christmas lights and they have a Christmas pageant at the River Center, there is also a night or two where people get on boats and sing Christmas carols. Our favorite time to go down there is during December.

Look into staying at a bed & breakfast just north of downtown in a Historic District. We did that on our honeymoon, and the price was the same if not less than a regular hotel downtown. Much more intimate and cozy, plus you get breakfast served in the morning.

There are hotels close to the Riverwalk without the price. do a searcha and you will find hotels close to the riverwalk. Residence Inn, Best Western, Red Roof and Drury are ones that come to mind. All of them are within walking distance.

Google this FORD Holiday River Parade & Lighting Ceremony

or this...

FORD Holiday Boat Caroling

Also there is a Staybridge Suites near Sunset Sation, very nice hotel, you can walk under the bridge to rivercenter mall and down to the river walk. You can also call the groups that hold the parades ... and if you will be here for the lighting of the lights you can probably buy some front row seats now for your stay when you come. You can always pm me if you have any questions.

I think the Staybridge is around 100.
