Apparently, not as talkative as the Charlotte, North Carolina forum with 2,600 threads and 27,000 posts...and they have half the population!

Just wanted to point out that San Antonio is over 13,000 posts now. Over 1,000 points since this thread was posted on April 25th. In 10 days, we average 100 posts a day.

I'm looking in on SA forums and I'm in Chicago, IL. Missing San Antonio...moved to Chicago in 2002 to be with my mom after I had my son. I'm trying to convince my husband that we should move there now that we have a second son. He runs a landscaping business here and is worried that landscaping is not a thriving industry??? What do you all think?

Probaby would be a good idea to start a new thread on this one. However... we have been trying to find a landscape company or even just a plain old lawn service to come do our yard. They all either say, "oh, we'll be there xyz day" and then never show up (followed by repeated calls and "sorry, we got real busy, be there xyz") or they plain don't return calls. Soooooo.. if your husband was a good business person, I'd think he could make a killing. (Just based on our experience.)

our landscape guy started out like gangbusters, but now is too big for his britches. He used to come by once a week and see if we needed service - now I am lucky if he shows up every two weeks (when I need it mowed once a week). I am looking for a reliable guy - as are many people I know. Maybe you should move back

Your husband should also look at small/medium sized businesses. I know our company pays more than $1500 a month to take care of their landscaping once a week.

I'd think there would be more year-round need for landscapers in San Antonio than there is in Chicago.
