The Grand Hyatt has been pretty much complete for 18 months and to this day I have yet to see a single picture of downtown taken since the building was put in place. All local news stations show an old picture of downtown and every single postcard I have seen to date shows pre Grand Hyatt. Being that it has been more than a year, I am beginning to think that many believe it is an eyesore.

I do! I was travelling 281 north the other day and really noticed it for the first time. It looks too big and too close to the Tower of the Americas and I think it ruins the skyline.

Agreed! But honestly, what can anyone do about it?

I used to think it was an eyesore, but now I like it. I see it everyday, since I have a view from home. It grows on you after awhile. I think it being completely finished and a little colorful helps

It's more of a giant wall than a skyscraper, but any building development downtown I'm good with.

I am not sure why they picked the same exterior color as other buildings downtown. At least they can make the exterior looks different than other buildings downtown. It just blends in with the other buildings down there. Take a lesson from Dallas, Austin, and Houston.

I see the Hotel everyday and to me it seems out of place. It ruins the San Antonio Downtown Skyline.

It sucks to have a view of that building everyday.
