Depending on what part of town you're in, there are a number of senior centers around the city that offer social opportunities, classes, a place to share company while eating meals, etc. If you happen to be near or just south of downtown, I highly recommend Presa Community Center on Presa Street (near I-37 and Fair Avenue). Lots of social activities, dances, meals, computer classes, etc. They also have vans/buses for pick-up/drop-off of those without transportation. You can call them at 210.532.5295 to get more info about the programs they offer.

Senior Singles will be meeting this Sunday, 11/1, at Martinez Social Club on East Houston. Details are on Meetup.com

"Old Time (Classic) Country Western Dancing is a hoot!
This is good, clean fun. We've been gathering at the first table straight ahead of you when you come in the door (it's near the dance floor, at the opposite end of the hall from the band). "

If you are on the NW side, my mother in law loves the one in Boerne. It may be called the Rainbow community center, not sure on that one. They serve lunch everyday for $2.

I looked over the website - couldn't find anything about how much it costs, membership, extra classes cost, etc. Anyone know?
