...the area near Blanco and West avenue? Prefer a nice, authentic place with good tortilla soup. Friends coming to town and I had no idea they like Mexican cuisine until this morning, help please!

Los Barrios. Great tortilla soup (have it nearly every time) along with the Ensalada Blanca (which is not nearly as healthy as it sounds).

Second Los Barrios for that area. A little pricy but have never been disappointed in thier food! They have great chimichurri sauce and I love thier enchiladas rojas. You may have to buy some ice cream the next day, just to sit in!
