We have "VSP" coverage for exams & eyewear. I am looking for a doc. in the NW area accepting it & wondered if anyone has feedback.

Here's a quick list of the practices that accept VSP. If you could let me know if you have any experience w/ these docs. I'd appreciate it

Thanks in advance!

I go to Vision Source at 11600 Bandera Rd, Ste 106, Dr. Mark Delgado. He takes a lot of time explaining everything to you, and I've been pretty impressed with him. Actually, out of all of the optometrists I've ever seen, he's been the one who has taken the most time to explain things, it's almost like sitting in on a seminar.

F.Y.I....These are just opinions your going to get...

I use to go to trinity but changed, wasn't pleased with the glasses. I know go to EyeTex on Culebra and love the doctor (will have to look for her name) but don't care for the selection of glasses that insurance covers. They are kinda pushy of trying to get you to spend more $$ so be careful. Our insurance has just changed to EyeMEd so I ill have to do some research also.

Good luck!

I went to eyetex on Culebra as well. The staff is very nice and the docs as well. They have a pretty good selection of frames that fall under VSP as well.

my family goes to Vision Source on Evers and Bandera. We see Agnes L. Palys, overall I have been happy with the service. They ever offered a 30% discount on lens and frames after I used my VSP for contacts.

We use EyeDeal Vision. We prefer the Potranco location over the Culebra location. Both Doctor Joe and Doctor Ngyuen are really good, especially with my kids (one is autistic and one is bipolar). They are very thorough, explaining everything. They are both laid-back.
We used to see Dr. Kline when he was at Evers and Wurzbach (oh, the bad wallpaper! LOL), then over on Bandera. As it got harder to get an appointment, we switched to another eye doctor for a few years but left (I won't say his name) and went to EyeDeal.
We used to have VSP and changed over to EyeMed. No problems with either insurance at either place.
