Sooo confused.....
We were in San Antonio area house hunting. We were looking in Bulverde and found something in the Oak Ridge area that is okay for horses. Then we hear that they are stopping all livestock including horses there. Then we went to Seguin and found something and everything we saw that had a sign on had a contract on it, and then we went to Marion and we didn't care for the excess of mobile homes near the nice new ones, and they didn't have much to offer in the town. Then we went to LaVernia and we liked it but there wasn't much there and you had to go into San Antonio just to find a Walmart. Now we are thinking maybe Borne but ran out of vacation time and it does seem to have alot of high water risks there. We are looking for at least 1.5 acres that you can legally put a few horses on and we don't care if the house needs alittle updating and we don't want to pay over 250,000.00, and we don't want neighbors with yapping dogs, junk cars sitting around, and we want a safe nighborhood, and we don't want a flood zone, and we would like the town to be near Shopping (not in San Antonio---can't drive that traffic on a daily basis and taxes are killer). It seems nearly impossible! Helppppppp

Boerne or Fair Oaks Ranch sound perfect for you. Even Kerrville.

Can anybody tell me about the Bulverde Oak Ridge areas in regard to "horses"? We hear that there are three subdivisions there and only one has decided to not let the horses be boarded there anymore. But then we were told that the other two are trying to abolish the right to keep horses in them as well. Is this true and how can one go about finding out? I only want to have two and would definatly keep my place very neat and not tacky looking. It is a big concern as this is why I want a place with a few acres and I don't want to buy a home and then have them make me go and pay board on my horse.... Thanks all

If you want land for less than 250k you're going to have to go further out. Bulverde and Boerne are getting very expensive. Try Comfort, it's just before Kerrville, another nice choice.

Comfort land....3-4 acres, is going for about 30-40k with a realtor. If you can find a FSBO seller, you can get it for less. Good luck!
