Default Lasik on NW Side?

Anyone care to offer recommendations regarding Lasik on the NW side of town? Any personal experiences (pro or con) would be welcome as well. I'm about to take the plunge myself.

Thanks!

I have had mine done twice, I highly recommend the clinic at the Northstar Mall, across from it, Lasik Vision Institute. The people are great, 7 days a week service, and they don't do any thing if you don't need it. My son went in on his 18th b/day after wearing glasses for 10 years and they told him he didnt need it.

Dr. Rashid did mine and it was a good experience all the way around. Everything was explained thoroughly and I felt well-prepared both for the day of the procedure and for how my vision would continue to improve in the weeks that followed. He's not the cheapest in town, but I didn't want to take my eyes to the low bidder.

i had my lasik done about 8yrs ago at TLC Laser Eye Centers...it was THE BEST money we ever spent!!!

prior to surgery i was legally blind --- perfect vision is 20/20 -- my vision was 20/800 and i had bad astigmatism --- immediately sitting up from the chair they take you into a room to rest a bit and they have you look at an eye chart...although i was seeing cloudy/smoky, my vision was already 20/40...the next day my vision was at 20/20 and 1 week later my vision was at 20/15, better than perfect vision...

8 years later my vision is still 20/15 ... TLC also gives a lifetime guarantee so that if my vision ever gets worse than 20/40 they will correct it for free ...

at the time i paid $4800 for the surgery --- i don't know if the price has come down or possibly gone up ... but i can say that i have NEVER had any problems --- no dry eye...no watering of the eye...no light halos at night...no problems what-so-ever related to the surgery ---

when i had my surgery done there were 2 co-workers of mine that thought i was crazy for going to TLC and spending that much --- they went to an eye center on the southside...i don't remember the name, but theyare now closed --- the place they went to only guaranteed the work for 1 year...also the female coworker could no longer drive with her car windows down as the air made her eyes water very badly ... she also found it hard to wear eye makeup --- the male coworker had severe light sensitivity and also had eye watering issues...

good luck with your decision!!!

Another vote for Lasik Vision Institute, I had mine done 5 yrs ago. They take good care of you and I have never had a problem since my lasik procedure. My vision is still 20/20.

You could always take the $3200 savings and buy a round-trip ticket to India, as well as a few nights in a 4-star hotel.
