Alright, so I may be crazy...does anyone have any recommendations for making and installing curtains?

In the house I've got an extremely open floorplan and in need of 4 curtains approximate 20 feet in length and about 2 feet (or somewhat less) in width. Measurements aren't exact, but are roundabout.

Simple and elegant...I would probably want to get them hung on a dowel not on a rod.

And here is the kicker...I'm looking to attempt to spend less than $1500...for the creation and the installation of the curtains.

Any ideas or recommendations...or you can just call me crazy...

Are you looking for a local vendor that will do this, a local source for curtains or ideas on how to do this project? The first two are on topic here. I can move the thread to a more appropriate forum if you're just looking for ideas.

Should have clarified...

I'm looking for a recommendation for a local vendor for this...

My wife would probably freak if I tried to attempt any type of handyman project myself...

JC Penney does an in-home consultation. It should be cheaper than going with an individual. Good luck

I hope you don't have a lot of windows. I have 6 big windows. I just purchased ready made drapes at Bed Bath & Beyond, 144 inches - 12 foot panels. I purchased 10 panels, nice hardware but no rings as the panels had grommets, and spent almost $800.00. I am installing them myself with the handy giant ladder I bought last year when I painted the room. I have 20 foot ceilings.
I have always purchased custom drapes in the past but austerity has set in at my house
I am extremely happy with my purchase. I'll complete the installation today. Pennys is a good suggestion too.
Good luck with you decision.
