My 8 y/o daughter is interested in guitar. Anyone have a good teacher recommendation in the area close to 1604 & Blanco?

You could always call the band director at the middle school nearest you, or even the high school, for a rec.....they seem to know all the musicians out there.

Ahhh, guitar....HAS to beat a baritone when it comes to practice time! Good luck....if your daughter is interested, consider yourself lucky! Band has been amazing for my son.

Call the music stores in your area. Many of them have guitar teachers that come to the stores to give lessons. If not they will be likley to know where to get lessons somewhere nearby.

Music Academy of San Antonio is an excellent music school. I know their students have gone on to win competitions and have gotten scholarships for college. They have a great reputation.

My brother took lessons if I remember correctly from Spud Goodall back late 50's or early 60's. Think it was through Dacbert Music Co. Not sure if they still exist but music stores that sell instruments and such would be good place to ask. As Bob Said!! I grew up with guitars and going to jam sessions. Wish I'd been interested back then.
