I didn't watch it live, but it's still nice to watch. He's such an amazing guy and San Antonio should be proud of him (and I know we are!).....the man has talent and class that you don't see every day. Way to go, David...we all knew you'd end up in the Hall of Fame.

thank you for posting this, sapphire.... you know how I love love love my boys....and even boys that came before the current boys.... that came before I had even discovered the gems that they are....
david robinson is a class act through and through....
i never got to run into any of 'my boys' while I was down there, but had many friends that DID run into several of them.....
and they sound to be the best, the most sharing, and the most patient to suffer all us fools......

Sweet article in the sports page today - talked about him doing the NYT crossword (notoriously difficult!) and the clue asked what his nickname was. He said that maybe now, if they use it again, they'll say, "Hall of Famer David Robinson..." as the clue.

He's so humble, especially compared to Michael Jordan.
