I'm gonna check out the SA Nature Hounds, sounds pretty cool, I will be setting up a page soon so I can send a message to the group and join and what not.

I just started a dog walking meetup group for NE side residents:
Lupe and Matt-Matt's Northeast Dog Walking (San Antonio, TX) - Meetup.com (http://www.meetup.com/dogwalking - broken link)

There are two public off leash parks in San Antonio McAllister and Pearsall
And at least one member only - Lucy's Doggie Day Care

I love schnauzers. I had one for 18 years. yeah, read it right, eighteen years. From the time i was 5, to the time i was 23. The best dog that's ever lived, I'm convinced. Theyre grumpy, surly, but very loving and fiercely loyal. He hated all of my sister's ex-boyfriends, but he didn't mind her GUY friends... yup he could tell the difference. 7 years later, I still think about him.. Good luck!

Oh... and McAllister park is a good dog park. But I really hate people who take their unruly, rowdy big dogs there. They leave the small dogs alone, most of the time, but one of them knocked me over one time.

I go the Pearsall Dog Park and he had tons of fun the other day, having the other larger dogs play chase with him. Loved all the attention. I've found my schnauzer to be stubborn at times and loyal just like you said.
I've noticed the "people radar" he has; growls at some people, wags his tail at others, crazily barks at others.
Will you get another schnauzer?
I just joined the small breed group at Meetup; hopefully some events are coming up that I can take my now soon to be 7 month old schnauzer to.
