^ Yup, IH 35 at the Durango exit (known today as Cesar Chavez)

Oh wow, I completely forgot about this place. The pink empty shopping mall we used to drive by every Sunday on our way to mass at the cathedral downtown.

Other things I notice,

University Health System building is missing or perhaps the white building in the top left is the old hospital...?
Pico de Gallo, where I went for High School prom dinner, is missing.
The ugly yellow Radisson on the bottom left corner didn't start out yellow (today it is a Double Tree).
The Motel 6 near the McDonalds wasn't a Motel 6 back then.
Love the old KJ97 billboard.

I've placed a red star where the Bexar County Tax offices are located
with McDonalds nearby.

Latest satellite shots looking down on the area,
is the Bexar County Tax offices and Mc Donalds.

Heading south is the campus where Fiesta Plaza used to be.
We used to broadcast a show from there. KWEX
