What's going in at McCullough and Olmos?
Does anyone have idea what they're putting in at the circle at McCullough and Olmos? They're rehabbing the corner building that used to be a knitting store (?) or something of that nature. We're hoping for a good restaurant. Any info or thoughts on where I could research?
Here's the location:

Damien Watel, of Ciao Lavanderia and Bistro Vatel, has opened a bakery in part of the building; the entrance is off Olmos Drive. It is open til early afternoon and serves coffee, pastries, baked goods and light lunches. The quiche is good.
I've heard the front part is going to be a clothing store, but don't hold me to that.
Yarn Barn was there for absolutely forever; they have moved down McCullough into a darling house in the Tobin Hill area.

Oh how fun!
I'm glad something cute has gone in there - I liked the Yarn Barn being there. It's a neat building.
Eleanor, the new YB is definitely cute! I'm a sucker for old houses.

Anybody remember when there was a Handy-Andy store in that building? I think that location closed around the early 1970s.

I found out today the front is going to be a dress shop. No details, just a dress shop.

@ least there is Thai on Broadway and on Austin Hwy. Indian would have been great. There is none within miles.
I've wanted to try Bistro Bakery but the hours keep me from it. I'm at the office by the time they open @ 7.

Had an excellent chocolate croissant there one morning. Everything else looked great too.
