My 7 yr old daughter hates having long hair...

So when I was getting my hair done this past week at the Aveda Institute I mentioned this to the senior student who was working on my hair, telling her that I had told my daughter about the Locks of Love organization and that my daughter now wanted to donate her hair ---

The student informed me that if we do the donation at Aveda the hair cut was FREE!!! Pretty good for a shampoo, condition, cut, blow out and style...

So if anyone is looking for a drastic change (atleast 10inches to donate) and doesn't mind a student working on your hair then head on over to Aveda for your FREE cut...

BC --- Before Cut...

Measuring and cutting --- Instructor on left, student on right...

After the initial cut...

As a fellow Locks of Love donater (I didn't get a haircut for over two years after I retired from the military), I applaud anyone who does this! SilverCreek78250's wife did it as well, it is a great charity!

Jule's little girl did this the day before I met her. She got a precious little hair cut. What a sweet heart!!! Thank you Mom's, for raising such compassionate young ladies!

After watching my niece struggle through chemo and the loss of her hair, having that one comfort made such a huge difference. Here she is with her beautiful "locks of love". God bless and thank you ....in her memory.

Cousin who is 13 years old did this a few months back but sent the hair through the mail to the organization. She got back a certificate and she has it displayed in her room.

My son has been growing his hair out for a year to donate to Locks of Love and he's ready to get it cut and sent. Does anyone have any idea where I can find a salon that still does this?

Thanks!
