So, I just earned my B.A. in May in Boston, and I've moved back to San Antonio. I've been working for a bit over two months now at a small law firm and I just got my own place and I'm now looking to go out and start meeting people.

I'm a 21-year old male (I graduated in 3 years) wondering where San Antonio's young educated/professional singles go out on Friday or Saturday nights to meet people both for friendships and relationships?

Thanks in advance.

Well what are your interests?

I hear COCO is popular, but I haven't been: COCO Chocolate Lounge

Chango's isn't bad either, I-10 outside 1604.

I'm sure some of the more social types will chime in soon!

Welcome back to SA! I also went to school in the Boston area and I sent you a DM.

For other recently arrived 20 somethings/yuppies/looking to meet people types here are some places I find good:

Stone Oak:
Copa Wine Bar
Chicago Bar

Med. Center:
Flying Saucer - beer lovers paradise
Babcock Bar
Shisha Hookah lounge
Fox and the Hound (popular with college types)

Bandera Pointe/Helotes:
Boston Pub **** (personal favorite)
Josabi's - very good looking crowd
Floore's Country Store - live country music

Downtown/Southtown:
Howl at the Moon - piano bar
Bonham - gay/mixed crowd club in a cool historic building
Rosario's
Pat O'Briens
Lots of places on the River and a few on Houston

Is every one of those places a bar? Don't folks meet elsewhere these days?

Haha, well Rosario's is a restaurant, Floore's is all about the live music, I go to Fox and the Hound to play pool, and Shisha is a hookah lounge (i'm not sure if they even serve alcohol). The rest are bars/clubs, which is more my scene these days.

There are certainly other places to meet people depending on what a person is looking for - biking, boxing, arts, poker, video games, literature, etc. I'm just offering my particular insight, hoping others will do the same and fill in the gaps.

I tend to enjoy underground/house/edm establishments; which is what i frequent in SA [and yes - there is such a scene here]. And from what I can tell, through aquaintances, there are educated young professionals there too.

There is no shortage of social/nightlife activity for younger folks in this town. However, if you're looking for intellectual/professional outlets to meet people through, try getting involved with some of the following:
