This is office/work related... we're having trouble printing lables that are created in Word. We've printed them without problems for 6+ years and are now having issues than we cannot fix.
If anyone knows someone, please post here or DM me! I'd rather get a local rec than call the "Geek Squad" etc...
Thanks!!!

Lauren,
Did you all by chance change/upgrade printers? When we have formatting issues with labels, it's usually related to a change in the default printer....just a thought. We have had to install new printer drivers to correct the problem. Good luck - printing problems are frustrating!

The Computer Nerdz can probably help with this. I've used them a few times when I get stumped on a computer issue and have found them to be helpful. They are a San Antonio based company.

What version of Word are you running? Have you upgraded MS Word lately?

I just upgraded to 2007 and it caused problems with some existing files.

Are you liking 2007 so far? I'm so lost with it, just finding the new buttons/commands!

I am still lost too. I had to use help the other day to do a VERY simple task, I felt so dumb .

I'm surprised at how much it changed.

Nope, no upgrades except my boss messed with the files and/or settings!!! lol. Everything was working just fine... now when we go to print it will sometimes skip a label.. sometimes not. And each label is $0.60 so it's adding up. But we we look at "print preview" it shows that it's just one page, not two. So we can't figure out WHY it is skipping labels.

It could be an issue with the printer rolls. If you have a manual tray in the printer, use that one instead.

Avery has a plug-in for MS Word so that you can print their labels, start here for a solution:

Hmmm.... I'll have to look into this. These labels are a full sheet each and have our graphics etc on them. We manufacture cleaning chemicals, so the labels are very specific... The printer is some crazy "label-specific" printer. The labels are all attached together with a perforated line so when it skips, we can't reuse the label. So it's not only wasteful but expensive! It's not your typical printer. We don't think it's an issue with the printer, rather with Word. Like I said, everything was working fine until the boss messed with it!
Thanks for all your input. I do appreciate it!
