Sounds like fun

Default Let's Talk Hunting

Sounds like some hardcore hunters hanging out at this campfire. Hunting in the rain, hunting alligator, hunting from the livingroom!

Congratulations wc2005 on the successful Dove hunt. I have been hearing the stories of little to no Doves. Glad you and yours were able to get on them. That Buck sure does look like a shooter and would make for a nice Bow kill. "The force must be strong with this one" as he eludes you thus far! The New Moon should change things. As a matter of fact I may get out on the stand this weekend. The Cowboys have a bye this week and it looks like an open weekend with no plans from the family so far!

I browse a few other forums for hunting info so I will pass the bottle so to speak. TexasHuntingForum.com has a great thread on corn prices from around the state. Folks report on various feed stores and other sources with costs of 40-50# bags or bulk prices. They also have a thread that debates the effectiveness of Indian corn!
TexasBoars.com offers tremendous info on the Feral Hog and the many methods of taking this tasty critter!

Can't go sit in the deer blind tomorrow so I'm going to try the dove field again. Hope the cool weather has moved more birds down that way.

One of my friends is heading out to the dove field again tomorrow. I've decided to try my luck at a deer with the bow instead. Hopefully, lady luck will be along with me tomorrow.

Four shots and four deer so far this season. Got a nice 8-pointer this weekend.
