area rugs?
Hi! We are putting wood in the downstairs of our home. We would like to get some area rugs for certain parts of our home. Any suggestions on where to go that has reasonably priced but nice area rugs? Thanks!

If you don't mind digging around a bit....Tuesday Morning at Bandera and Huebner has some nice ones. There are other locations, but that one is probably closest to you.

If you are looking for good quality are rugs, go see Bob Gehrke at The Look in Leon Springs (24112 IH-10 Boerne Stage Rd, 78257; 210 844-4399). We've bought a couple from him that were really nice...
Cheers! M2

I've someone at the corner of Marbach and 1604 sell them for $40 and $60, depending on size. They have contemporary and traditional.

I've heard good things about that place...will have to venture out that way next time I get a decorating bug. Or maybe there's one closer to the NW side that I don't know about.

Approx 2 years ago I stopped at the Home Depot at 410 and 151. Just by luck (since I rarely go to that Home Depot) I found two 5' x 8' 100% wool area rugs made by Mohawk. They were on clearance for $39 which was a little more that $100.00 off. They both have the same Southwestern Print just different colors. They are thick and made very well. I could kick myself for not buying a couple more even if we gave them away as gifts.
Home Depot is sometimes funny where they put items on clearance. They were in the rear right corner of the store, out of the way.
