Default Daycare that charges daily or part-time?

My husband is a firefighter and I hope to soon work part time. We don't need daycare five days a week, it will range from 1-3 days a week depending on his schedule. Does anyone know of a daycare that does not require you to pay five days a week regardless of how often you attend?

We live at Medina Lake, but can drive into town from Hwy 16 to Helotes or from FM 471 towards 151. We both work off of 410.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You might be able to use this site:

Once you find a place, someone may have an opinion or some real-life experience with that center and can comment. Good luck!

Not sure if they have other locations, but on far north side there is KidSpace. They are a drop-in day care...no appointment necessary. Pay by the hour or you can buy blocks of time.

The Mustard Seed on Shaenfield has a part time program and Childrens Lighthouse in the Alamo Ranch area has a part time program for their 2 year olds and up...not sure about infants

You can call and ask any that are near you or the location you are looking for and ask if they do part time daycare. Most will offer it at a lower rate, just have to ask (I did that when I was looking last year for just part time) and find the deal/schedule that is accomodating for you.
