The food here is borderline inedible. Really nasty. It's an interesting, cool space (and I've had fun times there), but make sure to drink lots of cold jug wine to be able to tolerate the horrible food.

Are there any Sicilian restaurants in San Antonio?
All the Germans in the SA area you would think that you would find at least five restaurants here
I heard Castroville has some great restaurants
There are a few New Orleans creole restaurants in town> Props goes out to Bernard's Creole Restaurant on Palo Alto- Hispanics are digging NOLA creole food.
Has anyone been to Scuzzi on 1604? There is another Italian restaurant near 1604 and Bitters

Gianni's is at the corner of 1604 and Huebner. Has anyone tried it yet?

Thanks for the recommendations. We made it to Il Sogno for lunch and were mostly very impressed. The antipasti were fine, but nothing to write home about, but everything else was good.We had a squid ink bucatini with clams that was off the charts delicious. The roasted sardines were perfect, as was the cod with prawns in a saffron broth. My friend had the pork scallopini, which was good, but not spectacular. Good wine selection, and desserts looked good but I was too stuffed! Not cheap but worth it. If Il Sogno were in Austin, it would be the best Italian restaurant by a country mile, and I would want to eat there often. I want to check out some of the other places when next in San Antonio, but also just want to go back to Il Sogno!!
