There are plenty of new and nice apartments near NWV. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a place. There's many along Highway 151.

Yes, there are several apartment complexes along 1604 between NVC and UTSA. Look around the 1604/New Guilbeau or 1604/Bandera Road intersections and you'll see complexes at both that would make a commute to either school relatively easy...I've put stars where I know complexes exist which are about in between the two schools...

There's a relatively new complex at Culebra and 1604, across from the Alamo Ranch shopping center. We've had some regular posters on here who've lived there and liked it. Can't remember the name of the apartments, but it's the only complex there so shouldn't be hard to research.

There are several new complexes in the area, closer to NW Vista. I have two children going to the college currently, I'll ask them to get me some of the on campus info and see if I can get any referrals for you. You will want something as close as possible. The parking situation is horrendous. Coming from Norway I don't assume you'll be driving, and the bus routes in that area are very good. The apts between the new "Outdoor Mall" as mentioned by sapphire above and NW Vista are a good choice, within 2 miles, and you have all the shopping conveniences also at your doorstep. The rent runs from $650 to 950 according to size and luxuries preferred. Also the ones directly on Loop 1604 are a good choice. If you get on any website for apartment search, then ask for the 78251 zip code, you should be able to see your choices for your own approval. The main intersection to look for is

"State Highway 151 and West Loop 1604 North" in zip code area 78251

This guide lists the housing options near UTSA:

UTSA Housing Guide

There are a considerable amount of NWV students that live among these as well.
