Yes, I did a search before posting a new thread. They were kind of old.

We are expecting a new baby in about 6 weeks and need a one time house scrubbing and the carpets cleaned. I am looking for some recommendations that won't cost me a million dollars.

We used Maid Affordable in May and I wasn't that impressed. I am know companies are more expensive, but I prefer to use them opposed to an individual.

Any recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Thanks in Advanced!!!

For the carpet, I'd look at a Bissell cleaner at Lowes, HD, Walmart...it should cost a bit under $300 but you'd have it for use at any time. It is easy to use and does a great job on the carpet.

I think the idea is NOT to do it herself. She's 7.5 months pregnant.

Man, I wish I could have done my "nesting" with a company! Good for you!

I don't have a rec (I have to do my own cleaning ) but good luck! You'll still wake up the "morning of" and clean clean clean.

She said "We" are expecting a baby. I bet HE could clean the carpets now and then THEY would have the machine to keep them clean after the baby comes.

Bold leads one to believe that it's a one time deal wanted...and done by someone else. No need to hit yourself..I'll do it for you.

Your bolds, not hers. Also note that she said ANY recommendations would be appreciated. Why must you just have something rude to say? I'm giving her recommendations, not you. If you don't like the recommendation, just ignore it. You don't have to flap your trap just because.

I used SA Carpet Cleaning and Jerald did an excellent job! Here is his website. He has over 17 great reviews on Yahoo!

Oh well...someone agrees with me cause I got rep'd for my last entry.

Point is, it doesn't hurt anyone if there is a legit entry made. OP can take or leave any advice she gets...afterall, she asked for it.

Errrr...thanks for the replies. Yes, I am looking for someone to come in and do the work. Hubby is military and I barely see him. Does anyone know of a place that does both house cleaning and carpets?
