Hi cd-ers... if anyone would know the answers to this problem, y'all would. I work with a dentist looking to recruit a hygienist and one or more office staff for an upscale practice in Central SA (281/410). He's having a tough time finding quality people through traditional methods (SA Express News, Monster).
  • Does anyone have recommendations for websites, local networking organizations or professional organizations that are popular with medical/dental professionals in SA?
  • Does anyone have recommendations for local SA employment vehicles (websites, newsletters, etc.)?
  • Does anyone know of communication vehicles (websites, newsletters, etc.) that are designed to reach newcomers to SA?

Thanks!

Try going straight to the dental school at UT. The UT Health Science Center has a placement office and will give free help in screening candidates.

I have been working the front desk at a dental office for over 2 years and am looking for a new place to work due to this being a deadend job with no benefits.

Hey 68auto - pm me and I can give you more details.

Shane, unfortunately, this dentist has hired many recent graduates of the dental school and has been very disappointed in their level of knowledge/experience. So that has not been a very productive recruiting venue. But thanks for offering the suggestion.

Anyone? How do people reach new arrivals in SA or medical/dental workers in SA? Seriously, thanks so much if you can help with this.
