Most of my life spent in Dutchess County NY, about 65 miles north of NYC. Moved to SA from Chautauqua County in western NYS 14 months ago.

Been here since Oct 2007 from Tampa, FL. Miss my family at home, outside from that San Antonio has treated me and the wife decently. Been thinking about moving to Austin or Dallas if we get bored with the city, but so far so good.

I was born and raised in Bakersfield CA. I moved here in 1986 after spending five years in the USCG, Stationed last in Corpus Christi.

Oh the memories you just brought back, Morro Bay and the famous Morro Rock as you know California Condors' nest there, San Luis Obispo (I recently read that the City is facing many economic challenges) and of course Cayucos. Have you visited Pismo or Avila Beach?

Yes, and I was even naughty and went to Pirate's Cove a time or two. Morro Bay is my favorite place on earth.......yeah, it's just a little beach town, but I love it. We visited family friends in Bakersfield when I was a kid......I remember I thought they were millionaires because they had a pool! But everyone did--it was so hot there.

Did you ever go in the hot tubs at Avila--or the hot springs? Good times.
