Houston from 1972 (age 18 mos) to just one month ago...with a few stops in NYC (on and off during 2000-02), DE (1970-72), and FL (1975-77, 1988-89) along the way.

San Antonio>San Angelo>Monterey>San Diego>San Angelo>Monterey>Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Portsmouth>Pensacola>Orlando>Ann Arbor>Adrian, MI>my mom
I also spent 5 months in Sarajevo and 6 months (straight) on the USS America and USS Valley Forge. There were also different periods of time aboard other gray things, a white thing with a red stripe down its bow, and two black tubes.

Did you ever go in the hot tubs at Avila--or the hot springs? Good times.

I was going to mention Pirates Cove and the answer is yes I was naughty too. I can remember as a young kid before I was naughty, standing off the roadside above Pirates Cove. We were given the finger several times.
We never visited the Hot Tubs at Avila Beach. I remember the nice beach and the great fishing off of the peir

I may have shot the finger a time or two. The dirty old men that used to hang out with binoculars up on the ledge were just disgusting. But, didn't stop us from letting it all hang out.
Avila is a great beach, but Cayucos is "cooler". I was there in February and there was a surfing competition going on--it was FREEZING. I love that place and it's firmly entrenched in my heart--it was paradise to me as a young girl.

Moved here in 04 from Southern Maryland courtesy of the Air Force. I was an AF brat as well, born in upstate NY, then Guam, the Philippines, and DC. Lived in Maryland the longest though so I claim that as home and miss the east coast. Hubby is from here (although he was born in Cali), and is happy to be stationed here. I've only adjusted in the past year LOL!
