Preferred employer apartment discounts?
I work at Toyota and was wondering if there are any apartments West of I-37 and South of 90 which offer preferred employer discounts to Toyota employees. I could probably go as far north as 151, but would rather not in order to keep commute times down.
I found one that offered a 3% discount, but they were income restricted and I make too much to qualify (which makes no sense because almost everyone at the plant makes more than 24k a year which is the threshold).

The only one I can think of is that somewhat near 37 is at the intersection of 37 & Military Drive and that one is not income restricted and they are fairly new. It is right after the CPS office on Military Drive near the Monte Viejo subdivision. I can't remember what they're called Mission something? I found it tough myself when I was looking at apartments in the area you are also looking at and all of the apartments are income sensitive. I wish they made the apartments to accept both income restrictions and over income restrictions.
Try Champion Homes at Marshall Meadows and La Hacienda on 37/Military.

An apartment locating service might be your best bet. They're free and they should know the answers to your questions.

Q. I have heard about professional discounts, how do I know if I qualify for one?
A. This is something your agent will help you with. Your agent will be responsible for finding out what you qualify for to make sure you get the discounts you deserve. Some common professions are teachers, fire, police, medical, student, senior citizen, and military. Also, many major employers receive discounts as well. If you work for Toyota, Washington Mutual, HEB, USPO, or other large corporations, ask your agent to see what San Antonio apartments you may get a discount at. If you are stationed at Ft.Sam Houston Army Base, Lackland AFB, Randolph AFB, or BAMC, you can receive some substantial discounts.

Thanks to all who replied.
I really wanted to rent at the Rosemont complex on Moursound and 410. It's literally a 5 minute drive to the plant, but I went in and they turned me down because I made too much. It wasn't humiliating, but at the same time it kind of was.
I'll have to try an APT locator I suppose. I'm always weary of middlemen, but I suppose if it's free I can't have too much to lose. I currently reside in Wilson County and the 50 minute commute is killing me.

Yeah, I believe any complex that starts with Rosemont is going to be income restricted. Champion Homes at Marshall Meadows on 410/Roosevelt have income restricted apartments but also allow those above those restrictions. Good luck!
