Default Former Fiesta Dinner Theatre San Antonio, Texas

I just watched the movie Fiddler on the Roof starring Topol.

Watching the movie brought back a memory of seeing Topol in Fiddler on the Roof in San Antonio at The Fiesta Dinner Theatre, 1604 access road,
circa 1975-1980.

Does this sound familiar to anyone reading this e-mail?

It's now Harvest Fellowship Community Church, no? I never went there when it was the theater. Heard it was pretty nice, though.

I saw a few plays there. The one I liked best was "Same Time Next Year". It starred Earl Holliman, who also owned the theatre.

My wife and I were once shopping at a grocery store on San Pedro, and we came across Earl Holliman shopping there, too! My wife was TOTALLY starstruck, and we talked to him for a few minutes. He was very friendly.

I wish we still had a venue like the Fiesta Dinner Playhouse here. The one at Fort Sam pales by comparison.

I saw "Same Time Next Year" there with Earl Holliman also...very early 80s I believe?!! Saw a few others there which unfortunately, I can't remember now. What memories...about the only thing out there at that time was the County Line BBQ restaurant and the Alzafar Shrine Temple. The Hwy 281 and Loop 1604 intersection was just a stop sign if I remember correctly!
