The DM should be helpful, but just for anyone who stops by later on...the San Antonio Food Bank is in the area 90/410.

I'm a MH Rehab Case Manager. You can call the United Way resource line @ 2-1-1 for information and referrals re various needs (utilities, rent, clothing, medical and transportation assistance.) Additonally, you can also call Community Action Program - CAP @ 207-7830, they have several offices in city. Good Luck

If you are involved in a good church, I'm sure that would be another avenue for assistance.

I have heard of the Angel Food Ministries...at least, I think that's the correct name. They charge, but you get a lot of food for the money.

Yes, I also was going to mention this. It is only $30 for LOTS of food. You would not be able to purchase 1/3 of this food for $30.00. The food is delivered to local churches that participate, and it is most often received and distributed Friday or Saturday mornings. You have to go to the church and pick it up, and you need to take boxes with you, to carry your food home.
The instructions and the process are very, very simple.
Good luck, and have a very blessed remainder of 2009 and also 2010!
