I am new here in SA. I am trying to look for European style furniture (ikea type) in SA. Any recommendation? I have been to coopehagen. Their furnitures are nice but a bit on the high side...

It is hit and miss but check wardauction.com for weekly auctions. Their items can vary greatly so you need to check them each week. They do auctions on Monday nights on Bandera Road.

None in San Antonio. Most items in Copenhagen are made in .........China!!!
I just ordered a dining table with chairs there. Chairs were ok, but the table was defected. The second one was even worse. The furnitures at Copenhagen are only European style ( wCat, here we go again.lol)
When you go to the warehouse on Isom Rd., you can see all the junk they try to repair there
I was very disappointed.
Houston has some nice European style furniture stores.

For what you want to pay, Ikea in Round Rock.

If you want to step-up, Ebay has a wonderful selection of high quality Danish teak furniture from the 50's - 70's. They also have nice selections of Knoll, Herman Miller, etc.

Ikea is garbage, over priced particle board and material. It's basically throw away furniture. Althought this company is located in Houston, they do ship to San Antonio and they have nice furniture,.

Modern Furniture, contemporary furniture, and office furniture at Eurway

hmph, and I notice they also "flat pack" (meaning ~ YOU gotta assemble it!) their products and use a lot of MDF also. Interesting.

Motif Furniture (Legacy Shopping Center) could be considered several steps above Ikea but similar in design. They also have an outlet south of Austin near Kyle (or Buda - can't remember which).

I have a few pieces of furniture from Eurway, and I'd say its a step above Ikea in terms of quality, but wouldn't classify it as "high quality." I have an entertainment console and a kitchen dining set that have both held up much better than the Ikea stuff I have. Its certainly not heirloom quality in its construction, but the price is right too.
