Check out Scout Bar in Stone Oak. Off 281 and 1604 and Redland Road. You will see a lot of good local and Texas bands, as well as big names.

The San Antonio music scene is so diversified that there is always something for almost everybody. If you like bands like "Dark Apathy". I would ask around at "Dark Apathy" shows to see where you can find other venues that feature this kind of music. I wouldn't ask the band though because they probably don't care.

I've never heard them, but I love the name of this San Antonio band: "Harry Wurzbach and the 410's"!

For great jazz, try the Mission City Hot Rhythm Cats.

I sat next to the singer in a bar last night--so cute! (She was hanging out with some dorky French guy [I think]--sigh. . . .)
