This has turned into a Learning Zone now as well.

FEAST is a homeschool co-op that has a store full of homeschool curriculum and you don't have to be a part of the co-op to shop there.

There are homeschool groups on Facebook that can get you started. San Antonio Homeschoolers is the biggest of the groups that I belong to.

If your son is in 3rd grade or older and has been enrolled in a TX public school, he would be eligible for online public school. The nice thing about that is that they provide the books and lessons, you just provide the computer and internet access for your child. The downside is that you have to follow the public school curriculum (may not be a downside depending on what you're looking for), log attendance and your child still has to take the mandatory state tests. My kids have gone to Texas Connections Academy for several years now. It's one of the online public schools and we've been pleased with it so far.

FEAST is major religion heavy like whoa, though. I checked out their bookstore and it was amazing for hardcore Christians but anyone who isn't used to stuff like "Johnny prayed 2 times today and 4 times yesterday, how many times did Johnny pray" in their maths and all other subjects, it isn't as good.
