House of China on 1604 - Far West side
Anybody try this. I drive by it at time. Once it was really crowded but that was right after opening. Is it standard Chinese-American - anything interesting - a good instantiation of the standards?
Thanks.

I have not tried it, but I am eager to know if anyone else has. I drove past it just last night.

Happy Guy and Delicious do not belong in the same sentence. It made me quite ill, and it didn't even taste good. I'd scratch it off your list.

Really? It has 4 1/2 stars on Citysearch and all positive reviews there, and on UrbanSpoon as well. Could you elaborate on your experience?

Obviously just my opinion but I wasn't all that impressed with Happy Guy either. And I'm still on a quest too! Good luck

In the quest for good Chinese food, you might consider Golden Wok on Marbach and 410. It has surprisingly good food (try the Pungent Ribs. Weird name but delicious!)
In the adjacent strip mall, near Big Lots, is Asia Kitchen. This place has some of the best Thai food in the city. So...if you're in the area, you have two choices!

Happy Guy make unhappy girl last time I picked up food from there. I hadn't eaten there in a good 15 years, I'll bet, and the memories of why came rushing back the next morning. I have scratched the Happy Guy off my list forever.
